Telangana CMO staffer thrashed for objecting TikTok video

Hyderabad: A youngster working at Telangana Chief Minister’s Camp office was allegedly attacked by a group of tipsy youth after he objected to making TikTok video near his house at Banjara Hills in Hyderabad on Saturday night.

Identified as Singada Kunta Basthi of Banjara Hills, he is working at the Chief Minister’s office on an outsourcing basis. When he returned home from work on Saturday, he noticed a group of youngsters outside his house. When he went to check, he found that they were making some TikTok videos.

He asked the youth, to stay quiet as the people are getting disturbed by their noise. Suresh also told them that curfew is in place and it is not the time to throng the roads. When they did not listen, he warned them that he will call the police.

This led to an argument. The angry group pounced on Suresh and rained blows and kicks on him. His mother, who was sleeping in the home, rushed to save her son. However, the youth also thrashed her. Both of them suffered injuries in the incident. The group fled the spot after committing the crime

Banjara Hills police have registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC and started the investigation. They are also scanning CCTV footage in the vicinity to identify the attackers.
