Telangana High Court advocate held for misbehaving with women

Hyderabad: An advocate practising with the High Court of Telangana was arrested at Saroornagar in Hyderabad, for allegedly misbehaving with women who were celebrating Bathukamma. B Subash had complained to the police about the loud noise late in the night. When a group of women went to question them, B Subash allegedly misbehaved with them.

A group of women organized Bathukamma celebrations at Kameswar Rao colony at Saroornagar on October 5, Saturday. As there was loud music played until late in the night, B Subash called the police. He repeatedly interrupted their celebration which prompted a group of women to question him. A heated argument broke out after which he allegedly misbehaved with one of the women.

A complaint was lodged and a case was registered against him under the charges of outraging the modesty of a woman. He was arrested on Sunday.

Inquiries revealed that he had also complained to the police in the past about the loud music played at the Ganesh pandal in his locality. He made the same complaints in 2018 and since then there has been enmity against him in the area. They also found that Subash was arrested in 2017 for allegedly abusing a woman Tehsildar. He had even filed a written petition in the High Court against the loud music played during festivals and the noise pollution created by them.
