Good Samaritan Telangana police give Rs 9.12 lakh to ailing woman constable for treatment

Hyderabad: Telangana police department played Good Samaritan again when it paid Rs 9.12 lakh for the treatment of a woman constable in Cyberabad.

Twenty-four-year-old constable D Shilpa, who is posted at the CCRB unit of Cyberabad commissionerate, has been suffering from Pulmonary Endarterectomy for the past few months.

Doctors treating her said she needed surgery which could be performed only at Narayana Hrudayalaya.

Taking note, Cyberabad commissioner VC Sajjanar took up the issue with DGP M Mahender Reddy. After pursuing the matter, DGP directed to release the amount from Arogya Bhadratha. Accordingly, Cyberabad commissioner handed over the cheque to Shilpa on Friday.
