Unemployees voice concerns over age restrictions

Meanwhile, unemployees are worried about the reduction in age limit for the posts announced by the southern power discom.

The age limit for these posts was 44 years. But the government restricted the age limit for a junior lineman (JL) to 35 and the remaining two categories — junior assistant-cum computer operator (JA) and junior personal officer (JPP)– to 44 years.

However, the age restriction of 35 years does not apply to those working as contract workers in the power utilities.

Unemployees are demanding that the state government enhance the age limit to 44 years on par with Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC).
