Telugu actor Nithiin gets engaged to Shalini in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Telugu actor Nithiin is overjoyed after he got engaged to his girlfriend Shalini in an intimate ceremony, which was attended by his close friends and family, on Saturday. The actor wrapped up the promotions of his upcoming film Bheeshma to be ready for his engagement in Hyderabad. The film, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, is slated for a global release on February 21.

Nithiin took to Twitter to convey the news “Pelli panulu started.. Mussssikk startttts. Need ur blessings (sic)”.

Along with the message, he also shared a couple of photos from his engagement to Shalini. While Nithiin chose a pastel coloured kurta, Shalini wore a gold-embellished lehenga for her big day. Both of them were looking dapper.

Reportedly, the couple will get married in Dubai on April 15. This will be a destination wedding with only 50 to 60 people in attendance. A few weeks ago, it was rumoured that the wedding could be postponed to May. However, Nithiin’s message confirms that the wedding is not postponed and will take place as originally scheduled.

Nithiin and Shalini’s family have booked the Palazzo Versace Hotel in Dubai for the wedding. While the pre-wedding festivities will take place on April 15, the wedding and reception will be held on April 16. Nithiin’s father is a noted producer in Tollywood. He will host a grand reception in Hyderabad sometime later.

Reports suggest that Nithiin and Shalini knew each other for four years as they have been family friends. It is said that their parents decided to get them married.

Bheeshma, which has received a great response for its promos, will release worldwide on February 21.
