Hyderabad: N. Chandrababu Naidu led Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has received donations worth Rs 114. 96 crores in the last fiscal.

The income channelled through donations in 2018-19 is 84 per cent more than 2017-18. In 2017-18, the TDP had received donations worth Rs 19.40 crore.

The major source of income for the main opposition party in Andhra Pradesh is fee and subscription, voluntary donations and electoral bonds.

From independent contributors alone TDP coffers received Rs 63.96 crore. Donation collected from fee was Rs 43 crore.

India's richest electoral trust ‘Prudent’ donated Rs 25 crore to TDP in 2018- 2019, which is the highest funding from a single entity.

A TDP statement of accounts submitted to the Election Commission on July 30 showed that the party received Rs 25 crore came from 'Prudent'.

Among the contributors are MP Raghu Ram Krishna Raju, who recently joined YSRCP from TDP, TDP leader Narendra Varma Raju Vegesana, former AP government representative in Delhi and former MP Rama Mohan Rao Kambhampati.

Out of Rs 114.96 crore received, the party spent Rs 48.68 crore on 2019 general elections.
