Hyderabad: Ten days after a five-year-old girl was found murdered, her father Kalyan Rao (37) died by suicide. Cops found his body on the railway tracks at Bhongir on Saturday.

The deceased Kalyan Rao was working as a Gram Panchayat Secretary at Atmakur village of Telangana. The man lived with his family at Bhongir. The cops suspect that Rao’s wife’s facebook friend is the reason behind his death and that of the daughter.

According to preliminary Investigation done by cops, Anusha, wife of Kalyan Rao, met Karunakar at Bhongir and became friends. Further,  Karunakar introduced his close friend Rajashekar to Anusha and soon they both became friends. Since then Anusha began avoiding Karunakar.

Enraged by this Karunakar decided to kill Rajashekar, he bought two surgical blades on July 2nd and went to Anusha’s house. On seeing Karunakar, Rajshekar hid himself in the bathroom and Anusha tried to  control Karunakar by  locking  him in his daughter Aadhya’s Room. Enraged and angry Karunakar slit Aadhya’s throat and also attempted to suicide and injured himself. Aadhya died on the way to hospital, cops said.

Days later Aadhya’s father was found dead on Saturday.

“We were informed on Saturday morning that, a body was found on railway tracks at Bhongir, on identification we found out that the body was of Kalyan Rao, on primary investigation it looks like it was death by suicide,” added S.Kantha Rao, Railway Police In-charge Bhongir.

It is still unclear if the couple Kalyan Rao and Anusha were separated.

Since the death of the girl,  Kalyan has been staying with his parents. “He was depressed initially about Aadhya’s death. Since two days he began talking about the family.  We were expecting things to get better now. Kalyan was also going to get a promotion this week, and I had told him not to take any stress as he will anyway be transferred after getting his promotion,” added Kalyan’s brother Venkateshwar Rao speaking to Newsmeter.

A murder case has been booked against Karunakar and he is been arrested after he was discharged.
