10 Indonesian COVID-19 patients in Telangana tested negative, confirms embassy

Hyderabad: In what has brought relief to the doctors at Gandhi Hospital, treating COVID-19 patients, ten Indonesians who were earlier tested positive for Coronavirus, have now been tested negative . They will be discharged soon, said the official social media handle of Indonesian Embassy.

The ten who were tested negative in the second round of test were part of the 13-member Indonesians group who had attended the religious gathering in Delhi's Nizamuddin Markaz. They further traveled from Delhi to Telangana and, the group lived in Karimnagar for two days where one of them fell ill and subsequently tested positive. Reports revealed 10 out of the 13 turned out to be positive which led to lockdown

The Indonesian embassy, confirmed the news of the ten being tested negative on Twitter. It posted "Ten Indonesian nationals who were tested positive for Coronavirus have been declared to be negative by the health authorities of Telangana. They will now enter a 14-day quarantine before being released. They were getting treated in the TB & Chest Hospital in Hyderabad. "



Meanwhile, in Telangana a total of 27 cases were registered on Thursday taking the total number of cases to 154 out of which 17 have been discharged. The state has till now reported 9 deaths due to Coronavirus, all are linked to Tablighi Jamaat.
