Hyderabad: When Arjun Reddy released, many controversies popped up along with it. A good number of netizens and audiences who watched the film felt that everything in the movie was wrong. They slammed Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the director of the film, and Vijay Deverakonda, the lead actor. Many critics found the scenes to be misogynistic and for many, the film is just about lust. However, for the director, it is all about how two people can madly love each other.

There have been many speculations that Sandeep Reddy Vanga is going to direct the remake of one of the short stories in the Telugu remake of Lust Stories. Bollywood producer Ronnie Screwvala is all set to bankroll the Telugu version of the series in collaboration with Netflix. Sandeep confirmed that the makers approached him.

Sandeep revealed, much before the news emerged, that he had walked out of the project. “It is true that I have been approached. Initially, they said the story was about honour killing, and so I said ok. Recently, they said it was going to be about lust. I am someone who is uncomfortable with lust, and so I decided to walk out of it.”

Besides, the director said that he has his plans to make a web series, but not any time soon. “Probably in the next four to five years, I will be making a web series. It is about a group of friends and the various situations they go through. It is based on true incidents. It cannot be made into a film because the censor board would not give us clearance for it. So I want to make it into a web series,” said the director.

Meanwhile, Sandeep Reddy Vanga is busy working on his upcoming film, which will be a crime thriller.
