Three killed after car crashes into divider on Hyderabad-Bengaluru highway in Anantapur

Anantapur : Three people including a woman were killed and another suffered injuries when their car rammed into a road divider on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru National Highway near Gollapalli in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday morning.

Police said the speedy car overturned after hitting the divider resulting in fatalities. The deceased were identified as Amarnath, 40, Raju,28, and Chinamma,65.

All victims hailed from Aakuledu village under Singanamala Mandal in Anantapur district.

Police said that the mishap took place when the car was en route to Bengaluru from Aakuledu village.

The driver lost control of the vehicle and hit the road divider. The vehicle flipped many times before it came to halt. Three of them died on the spot while one person is battling for life in the hospital.

Local residents immediately rushed to the accident site and informed the police. Police have registered a case and started the investigation.
