TikTok reunites parents with missing son after seven years

Hyderabad: Chinese video-making application TikTok was the toast of a family as it helped reunite the family with their son, who is dumb, after seven torturous years. It was a momentous occasion when Kummari Padmamma and Pentayya found their son Khasim, who is now all of 22 years.

Belonging to Thalakondapally Mandal in Ranga Reddy district, Khasim went missing seven years ago when he was 15 years old. His family members have been searching for him ever since.

Last week, Khasim reached Bhuvanagiri Yadadri district, Rajapet Mandal's Kolluru village, and the locals found that he was dumb. They soon released a video of him on TikTok with all details they could gather.

When villagers from Khasim's village saw the video, they identified him and made sure the news reached Khasim's family. The delighted couple rushed to Kolluru village. The villagers, who gave shelter to Khasim dropped him at the Rajapet police station and went away. On reaching, when Khasim's parents asked the police about their son, they were told that he had gone to have breakfast.

Khasim's parents were disappointed as they searched for him throughout Bhuvanagiri Yadadri for four days. On Saturday, Tumma Veena from Thalakondapally found Khasim in Secunderabad as she had gone there for some work. She immediately informed Khasim's family and took Khasim to Santoshnagar and handed him over to one of her friends. The friend reached Thalakondapally and handed him over to his family, who were thrilled to have back-ended a seven-year ordeal.

Padmamma said, “There is no place that we have not searched for him and no God we have not prayed. I have been in a lot of pain from the day my only son went missing. Thanks to TikTok video and all those villagers, our joy has doubled. I will forever be grateful to the people who released the TikTok video of my son. "
