New Delhi: Union Education Minister Dr Ramesh Nishank Pokhriyal announced the academic calendar for the first year of under graduate and post graduate students of universities for 2020-21. Time table UG PG 2020
He tweeted: “In view of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Commission has accepted the Report of the Committee and approved the University Grants Commission (UGC) guidelines on academic calendar for the first year of under graduate and post graduate students of the universities for the session 2020-21.”

In the calendar, the government said that the admission process would be completed by October 31 and the classes for the new batch will commence from November 1.
The minister also announced that the full refund will be made in the condition of cancellation and migration of students up to November 30. “To avoid financial hardship being faced by the parents due to lockdown and related factors, a full refund of fees will be made on account of all cancellation of admissions/migration of students up to 30.11.2020, for this very session as a special case,” said the Union education minister. In the academic calendar, instead of commencement of new academic year in July/August, the government has planned to start it in October last week or November first week, 2020.
