Hyderabad: Tollywood actor Prince Cecil who rose to fame as a Big Boss contestant, was booked under drunken drive. The artist was caught by Cyberabad Police on Saturday.
According to the cops , Prince was checked for drunken drive at Bachupally, near VNR college. The breath analyzer showed 48 mg/ml ( Blood Alcohol content ) against the prescribed norm of 30 mg/ml. The Cyberabad traffic cops booked a case against him . Later on being produced before the 4th Metropolitan Magistrate special court Judge, Kukatpally, he was fined Rs 5000 .
The Hyderabad and Cyberabad traffic department have intensified their drunk drive checks, this follows the number of accidents reported due to over speeding, rash driving and drunken drive in both the jurisdictions, i.e Hyderabad and Cyberabad.
The statistics available with NewsMeter shows, until August 2019, 5611 persons who were booked for drunken drive received conviction. While the Cyberabad police have written to the TS road transport authority (RTA) to cancel the license of 750 person caught for drunken drive.
There rate of fatal accidents have seen a jump in the recent times. On November 25th, a drunk BMW driver rammed into Royal Enfield , killing the biker on the spot. The incident occurred at Madhapur during the wee hours of Monday. The driver K. Ashwin Kumar was speeding in a wrong direction and crashed into a Software employee Abhishek Anand.
