Tribal woman gang raped for asking to clear salary dues

Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, a tribal woman from Nagarkurnool district working at a poultry farm was allegedly raped by her employer and three others, after she asked them to clear her salary dues. The incident happened at Pahadi Shareef on the city outskirts. The woman was raped for three days, while she was nakedly confined in an isolated room by the perpetrators. At the same time, her husband was imprisoned in another room and was tortured by them. Police registered a gang rape case and started a hunt for the suspects.

The woman, along with her husband, was hired to work in a poultry farm owned by Prasad Reddy at Maheswaram for a salary of Rs 15,000 per month. Reddy paid them their salary for two months, but two more months was due. When they asked him to clear the dues, he delayed it for more than a week.

As they continuously requested him, one night, he took the couple out of the farm, saying there was an emergency at a friend's farm. After reaching the other farm, the woman and her husband were thrown into two different rooms. All four of them raped the woman that night, while her husband was beaten and tortured. The woman was forced to stay naked during her entire stay at the farm and was raped by four of them continuously.

They tried to escape and approach police, but were threatened and confined again. On Thursday, they fled again and filed a complaint with the police. A case was registered, and the woman was sent for medical examination. Meanwhile, pictures of the woman with injury marks all over her body went viral on social media.
