TS Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy seen with Pranay's killer on Dussera

Hyderabad: TRS MLC Gutta Sukhender Reddy was found sharing a stage with Maruti Rao, Pranay’s killer. Reportedly, on the occasion of Vijaya Dashami, an event was held in which TRS MLA is found standing next to Maruti.

Ironically, Sukhender Reddy, the chairman of Telangana Legislative Council, and Miriyalguda TRS MLA Bhaskar Rao had promised late Pranay’s family that capital punishment would be imposed on the accused.

During the event, Maruti was seen addressing the crowd, “We celebrate Dussehra every year. We even celebrated Bathukamma this time, and we have been celebrating Navaratri from the past three years as well. I extend my greetings to all devotees present here. On this occasion, I would like to wish everyone a very happy Dussehra.”

Reacting to it, Pranay’s father Balaswamy said, “He is attempting to influence everyone and build up support among the public, even after committing such a heinous crime.”

Interestingly, the guy who was hired to kill Pranay was a high-security prisoner in Rajahmundry prison in 2011. He was also an associate of the prime accused who killed Haren Pandya — ex-Home Minister of Gujarat. The murderer was sentenced to death early on. Both belonged to Nalgonda district and were acquitted in 2013. Since then, both of them were living in Hyderabad’s Old City. It is believed that one of them hacked Pranay.

The entire ordeal had happened back in September 2018 when Pranay and his wife Amrutha were walking out of a private hospital in Miriyalguda. He was then attacked from behind with a machete and died on the spot. Amrutha, who was pregnant at the time, delivered a baby boy in January this year.

The incident came to everyone’s attention when it was caught on CCTV camera and had created a ruckus all-around.
