TSBIE calls for applications for extension of provisional affiliation for academic year 2020-21

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has invited online applications from junior colleges in the state for extension of provisional affiliation, including sanction of additional sections, for the academic year 2020-21.

The board states that the rates of the affiliation fee, the inspection fee, and the application fee (Form-Il) are provided in the application form which should be paid online. Offline payments can be done through DDS. The proposals for sanction of additional sections without providing additional accommodation as required will be summarily rejected.

The managements are requested to see that the FDR, the registered lease deed of the building and the playground, fire safety certificate, sanitary certificate, and structural soundness certificate are in force for the period for which they have requested the extension for the provisional affiliation while submitting the proposals.

The board has informed that the fire safety certificate should be renewed periodically as per the norms of the fire safety department for the proposals to be considered.

The board said it will make public the list of affiliated private junior colleges and the admission schedule for the academic year 2020-21 well in advance.

The parents and the students will get ample time to enquire and confirm whether the college will have affiliation along with the courses that will be sanctioned for the college.

The board has made it clear that without prior sanction, the colleges should not open new sections. Any deviation will be viewed seriously and will make them liable for disaffiliation, besides the imposition of penalty under the Telangana Education Act.

The managements are requested to apply for Form-II from the website of the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education for the extension of provisional affiliation, including the sanction of additional sections, from 18 May.

The challans and submission of offline Form-U will not be accepted. The requests for shifting of college premises within the same locality (within the mandal), change of society, change of college name, etc, should be made along with the affiliation proposals. These requests will not be considered after 8 July.

The managements of private un-aided junior colleges are requested to adhere to the instructions. The last date for uploading applications along with the necessary enclosures is 10 June without the late fee. Any proposals submitted directly to the head office will be rejected. The last date for displaying the list of affiliated junior colleges is July 20.

The last date for uploading applications with a late fee of Rs.1,000 is 17 June, with a late fee of Rs. 3,000 is 24 June, and with a late fee of Rs. 5,000 is 1 July. Similarly, the last date with a late fee of Rs. 10,000 is 8 July.
