TSEDCET scheduled for 23 May, online applications to start from 24 February

Hyderabad: The notification for the Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test 2020(TSEDCET) will be released on 20 February. The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) conducted the first committee meeting for the EdCET on 17 February.

During the meeting, it was finalized that the notification will be issued on 20 February. The submission of online application form will begin from 24 February. The last date for submission of online applications is 20 April. The online application fee is Rs. 650 and for SC/ST/PH candidates it is Rs. 450. In case an individual is unable to submit the application on 20 April, s/he can submit it by 25 April with a late fee of Rs. 500, or by 30 April with a late of Rs. 1,000, or by 4 April with a late fee of Rs. 2,000.

The examination will be conducted on 23 May in two shifts: the first shift from 11 a.m to 1 p.m and the second from 3 p.m to 5 p.m. The test will be conducted in 14 regional centres in the state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The regional centres are Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Kodad, Narsampet, Nalgonda, Adilabad, Mahaboobnagar, Nizamabad, Sathupally, Khammam, Kurnool, Siddipet, and Vijaywada.

Detailed information regarding the eligibility, syllabus, model paper-related instructions, and procedures for online admission of applications are available on the website https://edcet.tsche.ac.in. The results are set to be declared on 6 June.

The meeting was conducted under the chairmanship of TSCHE chairman Professor T. Papi Reddy, Professor Gopal Reddy, registrar of Osmania University, Professor R. Limbadri and Professor Venkata Ramana, vice-chairman of TSCHE, and T . Mrunalini, convenor of Ed.CET, along with different members of the university.
