TSRTC bus kills biker, leaves wife seriously injured

Hyderabad : A speeding TSRTC bus turned killer for a biker while leaving his wife critically injured in an accident on the busy Raj Bhavan Road in Hyderabad on Friday night. Ratnadeep died on the spot and his wife Sowmya is battling for her life. The couple are working for a reputed private hospital at Banjara hills in the city.

The couple were on their bike returning home from work. While

passing through Raj Bhavan road, a speeding city bus belonging to the Ranigunj depot hit their scooter from the rear.

As a result, they were thrown off the vehicle and landed on the road at a distance. Ratnadeep sustained severe injuries and died on the spot, while Sowmya was rushed to a nearby private hospital. Her condition is said to be critical. Punjagutta police, under whose jurisdiction the accident area falls, seized the bus and registered a case. The driver was also detained for questioning.
