Two burnt alive as lorries collide in Vizianagaram

Vizianagaram: A driver and cleaner were burnt to death when their lorry hit a stationary lorry from behind. The incident took place at Gajapathinagaram in Vizianagaram District, during the early hours of 22nd August. The driver Ramachandra Yadav (40), and the cleaner (30) Prakash Singh, who are from Madhya Pradesh, were burnt alive in the tragic incident.

They were going to Parvathipuram with a chemical powder load in their lorry. They hit a stationary vehicle at 3 o'clock on Thursday morning. The chemical powder started burning and within no time the duo was charred to death. The stationary lorry was parked at that spot due to an accident it had been in a few days ago. There was heavy traffic on the highway due to the accident. The police arrived and cleared the traffic. A case was booked.
