Two engineering students among 4 held for ganja smuggling in Krishna dist

Vijayawada, July 29: Police have arrested two engineering students for smuggling ganja at Donabanda area under Kanchikacherla Mandal in Krishna district on Wednesday.

The arrested students have been identified as B Krishna Mohan of Secunderabad and S Gopi of Mangalagiri Guntur district.

The duo had procured ganja from smuggler Besu alias Bosu at Chintapalle in Vizag Agency

Police arrested the duo when they were trying to sell drugs to K Bharat Reddy of Secunderabad and Shamina Joseph of Bengaluru at Donabanda area.

Police also recovered 10 kilograms of dry ganja from their possession. Bharat Reddy and Shamina Joseph were also taken into custody.

Deputy Superintendent of Police GV Ramana Murthy said they have registered a case against four people including two engineering students under NDPS Act.

“Manhunt has been launched to nab Bosu, who has been luring the youngsters for ganja smuggling,” he said.

A few days ago, Vizag Rural police arrested four youngsters when they were smuggling 20 kilograms of dry ganja in a car from Sileru to Nalgonda in Telangana.
