Two, including cash loader, held for robbing Rs 9L cash from Hayathnagar HDFC Bank ATM

Hyderabad: The Rachakonda police, on Thursday, nabbed two accused of stealing Rs 9,00,000 cash from HDFC bank ATM at Rajarajeshwari Colony, Hayathnagar.

In the wee hours of September 13, Konda Raghavendra Goud entered into an ATM centre and stole Rs 9 lakh cash from the ATM machine by using safe door combination password.

Police said Cheedarla Vinay, who has been working with Secure Value India Ltd., Secunderabad, for the last 20 days, helped Raghavendra Goud in the robbery by revealing the safe door combination password.

Previously, Vinay worked with Bricks Pvt. Ltd. at East Maredpally as a custodian when Goud worked as cash loader at ATM centres with Writer Safeguard, Prakash Nagar, Begumpet. At this time, both of them became friends.

Six months ago, Raghavendra Goud resigned to his job and at present, he is unemployed.

On September 11, Vinay, along with another staffer of his company, loaded cash of Rs 13,00,000 in the HDFC bank ATM at Rajarajeshwari Colony. On September 12 evening, Vinay gave the ATM combination password to Konda Raghavendra Goud. On September 13, Goud committed the robbery from the ATM.

On September 17, police apprehended Vinay and during interrogation, he admitted to having helped Konda Raghavendra Goud by revealing the combination password.

Based on Vinay’s confession, Goud was also taken into custody and police seized Rs. 4.47 lakh cash from him and another Rs 4.48 lakh from Vinay. The remaining Rs 5,000 was spent by the duo.
