Two school teachers held for sexual harassment

Visakhapatnam : Two government school teachers were arrested by Anandapuram police in Vizag city on charges of sexually abusing two girl students on Wednesday.
The arrested were identified as B Venkateswara Rao and S Sundara Rao, both teachers of Government Primary School at Peddipalem under Anandapuram Mandal in Vizag city, and they were booked under provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and also under SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Acts said Assistant Commissioner of Police (North Zone) M Trinath.
The police said both the teachers sexually harassed two girl students of the school and they also molested the girls. As per reports, the girls narrated the harassments of the two teachers to another teacher of the school. Based on the statement from the two girls and complaints from another teacher, the two teachers were arrested.
Sources in police said that the two teachers sexually harassed some more girls and they threated the students and also women teachers in the school with dire consequences.
