Two teenagers die after falling in a pit dug by HMDA

Hyderabad: Two boys in their mid-teens died after they accidentally fell in a pit dug for the construction of a cellar at Gopal of Hyderabad on Sunday. The incident happened at the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority’s (HMDA) venture. Officials have identified the victims as Pallepu Revanth and Polepalli Manohar.
According to sources, HMDA has taken up construction in the lands belonging to Uppal Bhagayath. The victims and their friends, residing in the neighbouring residential colonies, came to the site to play cricket. While playing, their ball went towards a pit dug for a cellar construction. In the process of getting back the ball, the two boys accidentally fell in the hole and drowned.
Gopal police have registered a case and started the investigation.
