An Uttar Pradesh native working for a finance firm in the city was caught with bullets at the RGI airport, where he was scheduled to board a Delhi bound flight on Sunday. Anki Singh Mahara was arrested and bullets recovered from his possession. Ankit was working in the city for the past few years, but was recently transferred to Delhi, said police.

According to police, Ankit Singh Mahara(28) was recently transferred to the same firm in Delhi branch. His family members had already flown to Delhi along with the luggage. Ankit was scheduled to fly on Sunday in an Indigo airlines flight no 6E-6362. He was carrying with him an old trunk box which his forefathers and his father had used in the past. While passing through the security checking, the staff at the baggage screening counter noticed suspicious material in the trunk box and alerted security personnel.
