Use RTGs for effective monitoring of foreign returnees, Chandrababu Naidu asks AP government

Hyderabad: Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday asked the AP government to effectively use Real Time Governance Society (RTGS) to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

“AP RTGS would have helped in tracking the foreign returnees efficiently. The Vizag Medtech Park was aimed at supplying medical equipment to the whole country. If it materialized by now, the country would have got a supply of necessary medical equipment in this crucial hour. This is not a time for mutual allegations”, Naidu said while speaking to party leaders through a videoconference

Naidu said RTGS helped a lot during Hudhud and Titli cyclones to rescue people and protect property.

“Why is there a huge difference in the calculations of the state government? Union Cabinet Secretary has said that over 15 lakh persons returned in the past two months”, he said.

TDP chief urged police and people to exercise restraint and avoid conflicts. “Accidents are happening. causing People are dying because ropes are on the roads. Everybody should try to solve problems in this crisis”, he said

Naidu expressed concern over the positive cases crossing 6 lakh mark in the world

“In just three months, the epidemic has spread to 196 countries. India and Andhra Pradesh have both entered the Stage 2 category of the disease. They should use the 4T model effectively to trace, track, and test and treat the infected patients. South Korea is able to do 4 lakh tests per week. This is the only way to prevent the mass spread of the virus which becomes uncontrollable once it enters Stage 3 cluster level local transmissions”, he said.
