Vain bid to burgle Telangana Deputy Speaker’s house

Hyderabad: In a daring incident, unidentified persons made a futile attempt to break into the Padmarao Nagar residence of Deputy Speaker of Telangana Legislative Assembly T Padmarao Goud in the early hours of Saturday.

They were caught red-handed, thanks to the alert security personnel, who caught the offenders and handed them over to police.

According to police, around 3.15 am, family members of Mr Goud, woke up to suspicious sounds on the terrace. They started searching along with the security staff and found a person hiding between two buildings by holding on to the third floor grills.

On catching him, they noticed he was from the neighbouring house. When questioned about his presence at that place, he admitted that he, along with five of his friends were planning to burgle the house.

Not only that the offenders while attempting to escape attacked a relative of the Deputy Speaker who was present at the spot. They were overpowered and handed over to police.

Chilkalguda police registered a case and started investigation. The details of the offenders are not known yet.
