Vijay Sethupathi to play Aamir Khan’s friend in Hindi remake of Forrest Gump

Tamil film actor Vijay Sethupathi is one of the most sought after actors not just for Tamil movies but in other languages as well.

The actor will be seen sharing screen space with Bollywood actor Aamir Khan in the movie titled ‘Lal Singh Chadha.’ Vijay Sethupathi will be seen playing the role of Aamir Khan’s friend in this flick.

Aamir Khan had recently met Vijay Sethupathi to discuss his role in the movie.

‘Lal Singh Chadha’ is the Hindi remake of Tom Hanks’ classic Hollywood film ‘Forrest Gump’. While Aamir Khan will play Forest Gump, Vijay Sethupathi will play the role of Bubba, who is Forrest Gump’s friend in the army camp. In the original, Forrest Gump gives a share of his profit from his shrimp business to Bubba’s mother in the film.

The film was announced on the sidelines of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM), in which Vijay Sethupathi won the best actor award for his performance in the movie ‘Super Deluxe.’

‘Forrest Gump’ hit the screens in 1994 and was directed by Robert Zemeckis. The movie won many academy awards. Will Aamir Khan and Vijay Sethupathi recreate the same magic? We will just have to wait and watch.
