When Rakul Preet Singh took reports by surprise

Hyderabad: Actress Rakul Preet who shot to fame with the Telugu movie ‘Venkatadri Express’ could have done much more complex roles. But she restricted herself to only glamourous roles. She attained star status within no time in Tollywood with movies like ‘Nannaku Prematho’, ‘Sarrainodu’ and others

However, in recent times, despite acting with top-notch Telugu stars, Rakul Preet has been unable to maintain her winning streak. With a slew of flops, her image has gradually faded. Akkineni Nagarjuna starrer ‘Manmadhudu 2’ which was released amidst high-expectations also fell flat at the box office.

She added that she is a determined woman with a strong will. When asked what inspires her to be a strong and independent woman, she said that it is the real-life stories that I heard from my father, who was in the Indian Army. Frequent transfers to different locations gave me scope to meet and interact with people from different regions. Recalling how she used to beat up boys of her age as a child, Rakul Preet said, “I was brought up like a tomboy. I would not accept any injustice done to me by the boys in the neighbourhood.”
