Hyderabad: Bigil, and Whistle, the Tamil and Telugu versions, respectively, starring Thalapathy Vijay and with Atlee as director, are releasing on October 25. Fans are eager to witness the magic of the duo on screen. Advance bookings on ticket booking platforms are witnessing a lot of traffic while tickets in multiplexes and single screens are already full.
The Telugu rights of the film has been bought by producer Mahesh S Koneru of East Coast Productions. Atlee thanked Mahesh for being with him always and encouraging him to give his best, always.
In the press meet that was held in Hyderabad as a part of promotions, director Atlee said that the film is releasing in 700 plus screens and he appreciated Mahesh for the promotions which are happening on a massive scale in both the Telugu States. Arrangements at the theatres are being made, and they are nothing less than a grandeur. But recently, Vijay appealed to his fans not to make any flexis promoting birthdays and releases, and not to put their lives in danger.
Besides Vijay, the film has Nayanthara, Yogi Babu and others in key roles. AR Rahman has composed music for the film, and all the songs are doing really well.
Atlee and Vijay had earlier teamed up for Theri and Mersal. Bigil is their third collaboration together, and as both the previous films were blockbusters, it is expected that the third one is going to score them a hat trick.
Atlee is just three films old as a director, but his fan following and craze down south is immense. It is also reported that he would be teaming with Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan for his next project. SRK is likely to be announcing this project on his birthday, November 02. Reports of him joining hands with the renowned Tamil filmmaker have been doing rounds for some time. Official confirmation awaited.
