Woman gets one-month imprisonment for causing trouble near Ganesh Pandal

Hyderabad: A 42-year-old woman from Naveen Nagar in the city, who was creating a commotion near a Ganesh pandal and abused passers-by in vulgar language, was arrested by the police. When the woman Uma Kiran, a resident of Mallepally was produced before the court on Wednesday, the court sentenced her to one-month imprisonment.

On Tuesday night locals alerted patrolling teams about a woman creating nuisance in a drunken condition and abusing all the locality people in vulgar language. Initially, they tried to stop her, but as she abused them, they let her go. Patrolling teams along with women personnel rushed to the spot and shifted the woman to the police station. At the police station also, she created a scene and abused the police personnel.

Further inquiries revealed that there are several cases against her in the city and she constantly stirs up trouble at Mangar Basthi. A case under several charges from the City police act was registered against her, said police officials, from Habeeb Nagar police station.
