Woman kills her husband in front of children

Hyderabad: Angered by her husband allegedly harassing her over petty issues, a woman killed him at Ranga Reddy district on Sunday. Sharada threw chilli powder in her husband, Vishnu Murthy's eyes and then attacked him with a boulder killing him on the spot. All this happened as both their children looked on helplessly. With this incident, the children have now become orphans.

The couple who were married for ten years was residing at Farooq Nagar, in the district, along with their two sons aged eight and six. Both of them were working as daily labourers and were also addicted to alcohol which leads to frequent arguments.

On Saturday night also they quarrelled and slept. Sunday morning when they woke up, Vishnu Murthy picked an argument with his wife that led to another fight. In a fit of rage, Sharada threw chilli powder in his eyes and as he became immobile, she picked up a boulder from the premises and hit him multiple times on the head.

After he collapsed in a pool of blood, she checked if he was alive and after confirming that he was dead, she tried to run away. But their neighbours caught and roughed her up.

They then tied her to a tree and struck her till police arrived at the spot and rescued her. She was then shifted to a hospital, where she is being treated for the injuries she received from the beating.
