Woman saved in time by RPF constable in Secunderabad

Hyderabad: A woman trying to board a running train in Secunderabad was saved just in time before she was about to slip into the gap between the train and the platform. Head Constable of Railway Protection Force (RPF), Secunderabad, Shafiuddin saved the woman.

The lady on 18th December was trying to catch Train No. 12791, Secunderabad-Express. The train had proceeded from the platform number one, while she tried to board the train from Coach Number S- 12. Shafiuddin noticed this and pulled her off, while she was about to fall on the tracks.

The CCTV footage shows that Shafiuddin was walking on the platform, while the train was running. He notices that a woman trying to board the train is about to fell into the tracks. He pulls the woman away from the train towards the platform. The woman later is seen leaving the platform, while the constable shouts at her for trying to board a running train.

The Railway officials appreciated Shafiuddin for his swift action in saving a passenger from running over by the train.

In August this year, a similar event happened in Nampally Railway Station of Hyderabad. The CCTV footage of the rescue by Railway Officer went viral on social media. The railway office holding the train’s door bar in one hand ran along with the train and pulled the man out with his left hand. The man was trying to get out of the running train. He while doing so slipped and was about to fall from the gap between train and platform. He was saved in time by the official.
