Youngsters attack police constable at Chandrayanagutta of Hyderabad, constable rushed to hospital

Hyderabad: Two bike borne youngsters attacked a police constable on duty, leading him badly injured at Chandrayanagutta of Hyderabad on Saturday. Constable Praveen sustained injuries on his head and other body parts. He was rushed to Apollo hospital at DRDO, Kanchanbagh and is being treated there.
According to sources, on Saturday evening when Praveen was performing duty at a junction near Omer Hotel in Chandrayanagutta, two unidentified persons on a bike approached him. Even before he could notice them, they attacked him with sticks and sped away.
As Praveen collapsed in a pool of blood, other police staff noticed him and rushed to his aid. He was immediately taken to hospital.
Police have registered a case and started investigation. They are also verifying CCTV cameras in the surroundings for clues of the attackers.
Praveen is kept under observations and is said to be out of danger.
