Hyderabad: Rajya Sabha MP Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy representing YSRCP party in the upper house, owns jaw-dropping assets worth Rs 2577 Crore. He is the second richest parliamentarian, while Ms. Jaya Bachchan of Samajwadi party follows, with a total net worth of Rs 1001 Crore. But, MP Mahendra Prasad from Biharā€™s JD(U) party tops the chart, with Rs 4078 Crore wealth, he goes on to become India's richest MP.

Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) an election watch body analysed the criminal antecedents, assets and education of 229 Rajya Sabha MPs. In its report released on 22 July, the study concluded that, 54 of the total have declared criminal cases against themselves.

A dive into the analysis revealed, 50 percent of MP representing state-regional party YSRCP hold serious criminal cases ( attempt to murder, crime against women), while the rest have criminal cases.

In regard to the wealthy MPs,MP Mahendra Prasad owns high immovable assets worth Rs 4043 Crore plus Rs 349 Cr of land . While Alla Ayodhya Rami Reddy of YSRCP owns movable assets (Cash, Jewellery, vehicles) of worth Rs 2518.44 Crore and properties (in form of land) worth Rs 59.31 Crore, total of Rs 2577 Crore. His liabilities (loans) amount to 154 Crores.

While Senior Bachchan movable assets are worth Rs 538. 83 Crore plus Rs 462.80 Crore, total of Rs 1001 Cr which makes her the third richest. While her liabilities are Rs 105 Crore.
