14 days quarantine for soldiers returning after leave at Secunderabad Military station
By Anurag Mallick Published on 21 March 2020 5:09 PM GMTHyderabad: The army has sent all its personnel, who have reported back to duties at Secunderabad Military station after availing leave, to 14 days mandatory quarantine as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Stringent safety measures and precautionary protocols have been put in place at Secunderabad Military station
Training courses have been canceled. No temporary duties are permitted and posting of all ranks have been deferred till April 15, 2020 in compliance with the orders of IHQ of the Ministry of Defence).
No leave is being granted. All personnel on leave have been instructed to extend their leave until April 15, 2020. All army-run educational institutions, including schools, colleges, coaching classes, and tuition centers have been closed. All preparations for online classes for the upcoming new academic session from April 1, 2020, have been put in place for students to continue to stay at home and pursue their studies.
Institutes, Gymnasiums, Swimming pools, clubs, golf courses, and function halls will continue to remain closed till April 15, 2020. No public gatherings, social events, functions, sporting events are permitted till April 15, 2020.
Official meetings, seminars, and conferences involving more than 10 people have been suspended till April 15, 2020. Video conferencing is being used. All entry and exit gates of the army campuses and units are manned with sentries equipped with contact-free, infrared thermal scanners. Informative 'Visual alerts' such as posters, signs, stickers, and notices have been put up at prominent locations.
