17-year-old student commits suicide in Narsingi

Hyderabad: A 17-year-old student allegedly committed suicide after a quarrel with his father. R. Sai hanged himself at his home in Narsingi on the outskirts of the city.

On 24 February, Sai came home drunk after consuming alcohol with his friends. He returned home late at night and got into a quarrel with his father over his studies. His father often warned him of the consequences of not studying well. Sai reportedly hanged himself after the argument. His mother found his body behind the house on Tuesday morning and alerted the police.

Police suspect Sai was upset with his father and took the extreme step to end his life. Police are investigating the case.
