Women found dead at TRS leader’s Moinabad house

Hyderabad: An 22-year-old was found dead under suspicious circumstances at the residence of a realtor-turned-TRS leader at Moinabad on the outskirts of Hyderabad.

While the police said that the teen died by suicide, it is alleged that the accused, Madhu Yadav, had raped her and later killed her. Then, he hanged the body to make it look like a suicide.

The victim and her 16-year-old sister had been working at Yadav’s house as domestic help for more than three years.

However, the police said that he does not have links with any political party even while Yadav’s pictures with the TRS scarf (kanduva) had gone viral.

Police said that a case under charges of sexual harassment and abetment to suicide has been registered against Mahesh Yadav and that he would be arrested soon. Meanwhile, some social activists alleged that Madhu Yadav is safe in police custody, getting royal treatment on the premises of Rajendranagar police station.

Both the girls lost their mother five years ago and their alcoholic father had deserted them. Taking advantage of their needy situation, Madhu Yadav offered to help them and hired them as domestic help at his house, even when they were minors.

Police also found that Madhu Yadav used to take the eldest among the girls frequently into his room and lock it from inside for a long time. On Thursday night too, he was in an inebriated condition. He approached the girls and took the elder one into his room.

When the younger girl also accompanied them, he told her that they have some work and asked the younger girl to go back to sleep.

A couple of hours later, the younger girl woke up but did not find her sister beside her. Then she went to the room and found her hanging there.

Then she rushed her to Osmania hospital where the doctors declared that she was dead. Police are awaiting the post-mortem report to confirm if she was sexually assaulted.
