2 held for stealing bikes in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Taskforce sleuths of the Hyderabad Commissionerate, South Zone, nabbed a teenager and his juvenile accomplice who were involved in bike thefts. The officials recovered six stolen bikes worth Rs 8 lakh from them.

Esa Khuraishi (19), a resident of Pahadishareef on the city outskirts, is among the four siblings in his family. He was not interested in studies from childhood and got habituated to bad vices. Spending time with friends until midnight has become a routine for him. To bring a change in his behaviour, his parents sent him to work, but with his rude behaviour, he never continued in any job for more than ten days. Wherever he worked, he picked up a quarrel with the management and left the job.

In 2018, he indulged in his first offence when he committed theft of a bike and was arrested by Pahadishareef Police. After being released from prison, his parents imposed restrictions on his movements. Unbale to withstand this, he ran away from home and was residing in a rented room.

However, as his earnings were not sufficient for his expenses, he started committing offences. So far, he has committed theft of six high-end bikes in different parts of the city.

To make an income from the stolen bikes, he started renting them to his friends and youngsters from the old city on an hourly basis. He also collected Rs 2,500 for a dayā€™s rent. Based on a tip-off, the taskforce officials caught him on Saturday.
