28YO auto-rickshaw driver killed after stone ball challenge goes horribly wrong at Kurnool
By Newsmeter Network Published on 6 July 2020 7:04 AM GMTKurnool: An attempt to lift 100 kilogram stone ball went horribly wrong after a 28-year-old-auto rickshaw driver collapsed under its weight at Suluvai village under Holagunda Mandal in Kurnool district.
Identified as P Shasab alias Saheb Shah, he tried to lift the stone ball after accepting the challenge from his friend. However, when he was trying to lift the ball, he lost the grip and collapsed under its weight.
He received grievous wounds and was rushed to the government hospital at Alluru Town in Kurnool district. However, doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Locals said Shasab was an auto-driver by profession and used to lift stone balls near Basavanna Temple in Suluvai village.
Police said that Shasab had got married around 15-months back and the couple was blessed with a boy two months ago. An eerie silence has enveloped the village as Shasab was known for his helping nature.
