30 YO pastor arrested for attempting to rape 16 YO in Vizag

Visakhapatnam: Gajuwaka police arrested a 30- year-old pastor for allegedly attempting to rape a 16- year-old girl at his residence in Vambay Colony of Vizag city on Tuesday morning.
Identified as Nani Babu aka Habel Babu, he along with three others including two girls had gone to a nearby village on Monday. On Tuesday when they returned, one of the girls left for her home.
Another stayed at Banu’s home waiting for father to pick her up. Finding the girl alone, the pastor attempted to rape her.However, the girl managed to escape from his clutches and reached home. Later, she narrated the entire episode to her father.
The victim and her parents later approached the police station and filed a formal complaint. Gajuwaka police immediately swung into action and registered a case. Later police arrested the pastor.
Police said the investigation is on.
