34-YO Assistant Professor at B.R Engineering College kills son, commits suicide

Hyderabad: Fed-up with her illness, a 34-year-old assistant professor at B.R. Engineering College, Joginpally, allegedly killed her 10-year-old son before committing suicide at their home in Narsingi on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Nagalla Bhargaviand and her son Varenya. Her husband Satish, an IT professional had gone to work and their younger son was at a daycare center when the incident occurred.
Narsingi police said Bhargavi of Tenali had married Satish of Guntur of Andhra Pradesh ten years ago and the couple were blessed with two children. After second delivery, she developed health complications and as days passed they became severe.
She has been running around hospitals for treatment but to no avail. While the couple was working from home, Satish had gone to the office on Friday for some important work. It was also found that Bhargavi had been taking online classes during the lockdown.
When Satish returned home, he found his wife and son hanging in their flat. Police suspect that she had taken the extreme step due to her health issues. Though no suicide note was found at the spot, police have seized her mobile phone for forensic analysis. A case of murder and suspicious death has been registered.
