55YO document writer arrested for threatening tribal woman employee in Vizag

Visakhapatnam: Police on Thursday arrested 55-year-old document write for abusing and threatening a 27-year-old-tribal junior assistant at Gajuwaka area in Vizag city.
Identified as M Krishna Rao, he used to abuse and threaten G Vijaya, working as a junior assistant at the sub-register office.
Deputy Commissioner of Police V Suresh Babu said the victim lodged a complaint against Krishna Rao.
Police immediately swung into action and registered a case under Sections 353,506,509 of IPC and relevant sections under Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act-2015.
In her complaint, the victim said Rao threatened her with dire consequences and obstructed her from attending the duties.
She said the 55-year-old man abused her community and suspected her fidelity.
The DCP said Rao has been harassing the woman for the past four months. Fed up with harassment, the woman approached the police seeking protection, he said.
Later Assistant Commissioner of Police (SC/ST Cell) visited the sub-registrar office and recorded the statements of witnesses.
