75.29% candidates get qualified in TS-EAMCET 2020
By Anusha Puppala Published on 6 Oct 2020 12:05 PM GMTHyderabad: The results of Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture & Medical Entrance Test (TS-EAMCET) 2020 have been declared on Tuesday. Education minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, who released the results, said that 75.29 per cent candidates were qualified in EAMCET this year.
Sai Teja Varanasi secured the first rank in EAMCET-2020 and Yashwant Sai secured the second rank. As many as 1,43,326 candidates were registered for TS-EAMCET of whom, 1,19,183 lakh appeared and 89,734 got qualified.
Over 8,799 candidates from government colleges appeared for TSEAMCET-2020 and 6,046 of them were qualified. Over 409 candidates of KV schools appeared for the test and 179 of them got qualified. About 248 students from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas appeared for EAMCET and of them, 99 were qualified.
As many as 1,09,195 candidates of private colleges took the test and 73,999 got qualified.
The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Hyderabad, conducted TS-EAMCET on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education(TSCHE) on September 9, 10, 11 and 14, 2020.
