ACB arrest Sub Treasury Officer and Junior Assistant in bribe case

Hyderabad: The sleuths of Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Sub Treasury Officer, Warangal Urban District, Thotta Vikram Kumar and Junior Assistant Shaik Naseha for demanding bribe of Rs 15,000.

The duo fell in the trap laid by the ACB on November 16th. The sleuths caught them red-handed while accepting bribe from complainant Veerabathini Sriramulu in the chanber of the Sub Treasury Officer. The bribe was for an official favor, i.e to process his pension file and gratuity amount.

The ACB officials confiscated the bribe amount and arrested both the Sub Treasury Officer and Junior Assistant.

According to ACB, the prime accused Vikram Kumar took the help of Shaik Naseha to extort bribe from the complainant.

The accused were presented before Special Judge for ACB cases in Hyderabad. The case is under investigation.
