Accident on PVNR expressway in Rajendranagar, no casualities

Hyderabad: A speeding car crashed into the median and turned turtle on the PVNR Expressway at Rajendranagar, causing a traffic jam on the evening of 24 May. While no one was injured in the incident, the traffic jam inconvenienced several motorists.

According to the police, a Suzuki Ertiga was coming towards the city from Aramghar. The driver lost control while negotiating a curve on the expressway and crashed into a pillar. The airbags in the vehicle were deployed and the driver escaped unhurt. The incident caused a traffic jam on the expressway and the traffic police rushed to the spot. The vehicle was towed off and taken to Rajendranagar police station.

The 11.6 km elevated expressway was closed during the lockdown but was reopened recently after the lockdown rules were relaxed. Since then, there has been heavy vehicular movement along the stretch.
