Accountant forges signature of actor Balakrishna's wife, detained

Hyderabad: Police have detained a junior accountant for allegedly forging the signature of Vasundhara, wife of Tollywood actor and TDP MLA from Hindupur Nandamuri Balakrishna.
Identified as Korri Shiva, he had allegedly forged Vasundhara’s signature and submitted an application to HDFC bank for activating mobile banking feature.
Jubilee Hills police have registered a case of cheating and forgery against Shiva.
According to police, the manager of HDFC bank Banjara Hills called up Vasundhara’s office on February 13 to inquire if she had submitted any application requesting for activating mobile banking feature of her account.
However, she denied submitting any application or signing any document.
After inquiry, it was found that Korri Shiva, who is working as a junior accountant in her office, had submitted the application for activating mobile banking feature.
Police immediately swung into action and detained Shiva. Police sources said Korri Shiva has admitted of forging her signature. Preliminary investigation has revealed that Shiva had moved the application with an intention to siphon off the money.
