"Yes, there were plans for a destination wedding in Dubai but the Coronavirus pandemic has left us with no option but to alter our plans. We had initially thought of a big, fat wedding but given the circumstances, we have decided to go ahead with a more private affair and only close family and friends will be invited,” stated Nithin's father, Sudhakar Reddy.
In a candid interview, he shared that he proposed to his lady love in a memorable manner by standing on one foot rather than getting on one knee, and showering with roses and a ring.
“It made her laugh and instantaneously say yes to the proposal. When it was time to propose to her, I wanted it to be zara hatke. I didn’t want to do the usual drill of going down on one knee and popping the question or shower her with roses. Instead, I decided to stand on one leg and propose to her,” he laughed, adding, “I just wanted to do something different, funny, and memorable. I guess it really paid off. Not only did it make her laugh, she immediately said, ‘yes’.”The couple had been in a relationship for 4 years prior to deciding ongoing for the wedding.
Shalini has an MBA degree which she pursued in the UK. The festivities are all set to commence after July 12, this year.
