Admonished by husband over TikTok videos, woman commits suicide; grieving son kills himself

Vijayawada: A woman and her son committed suicide at YSR Colony in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, allegedly over TikTok videos.
On 18 May, Karima consumed poison after her husband admonished her for constantly posting TikTok videos. She was rushed to the hospital where she was declared brought dead. Her son Nasiruddin, unable to bear the loss of his mother, consumed cyanide on 19 May and died.
The police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC (unnatural deaths) and taken the bodies to the mortuary for autopsy.
