All accused in gang war, murder expelled from Vijayawada city

Vijayawada: All those involved in the gang war and murder of T. Sandeep at Patamata in Vijayawada have been expelled from the city.
The Vijayawada city police have so far arrested 17 people of K. Manikanta alias Pandu gang and 16 people of Sandeep’s gang (who died in the clash).
The police also arrested four persons, including two builders, D. Sridhar and Pradeep Reddy, who were allegedly responsible for the gang war and murder.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) V. Harshavardhan Raju said that Sridhar had a dispute with Pradeep. Both Sandeep and Pandu gangs were roped in to solve the dispute and it led to gang war, wherein Sandeep was murdered.
All the accused in the gang war were under the under Preventive Detention (PD) Act and they have been expelled from the city.
Investigation revealed that two
rowdy-sheeters, a B.Tech student and an MBA graduate, a few other Intermediate dropouts, who were involved in the gang war were addicted to ganja. To ensure safety to the public and maintain law and order, we have expelled the accused from the city, the police added.
