Amitabh expresses gratitude after being honoured with Dadasaheb Phalke Award

The Minister took to his Twitter and wrote, "The legend Amitabh Bachchan who entertained and inspired 2 generations has been selected unanimously for #DadaSahebPhalke (sic) Award. The entire country and the international community is happy. My heartiest congratulations to him."
Amitabh Bachchan who was overwhelmed after being selected for the prestigious award, took to his Twitter to express his gratitude. "Deeply grateful and most humbled", the 76-year-old actor wrote. "There is a paucity of words searching a response... for the generosity of words that pour in... I am but deeply grateful and most humbled... my sincerest gratitude," Amitabh wrote.
It appears that Amitabh Bachchan's son, Abhishek Bachchan and his daughter Swetha Bachchan are overjoyed with this prestigious award. Abhishek Bachchan quoted Prakash Javadkar's Tweet and wrote, "Overjoyed and so, so proud! #ProudSon."
Swetha Bachchan wrote, "Whose your Dada (Saheb Phalke)? Uncontainable excitement, pride, tears, and general hysteria!!! Congratulations Papa."
Amitabh Bachchan is an illustrious actor whose lists of accolades also includes Padma Shri (1984), Padma Bhushan (2001) and Padma Vibhushan (2015). Amitabh Bachchan has won four National Awards for his outstanding performances in movies.
